Man, this is a busy week of music listening. Tonight, my wife, stepdaughter and I are going to see Lorde at the Grand Ole Opry House. Tomorrow night, my wife and I are going to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The tickets were a birthday gift to her from a friend. Friday night, we are going with a bunch of people to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center for an All Star tribute to Jimi Hendrix, which involves some awesome guitarists. Buddy Guy, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and a bunch of others will put their spin on some classic tunes.
I mention these concerts to highlight the fact that Nashville is truly Music City, and it is not all cowboy hats and pickup trucks. If you are a music lover, then you can find what you like somewhere in this town.
I also mention these concerts because, with the addition of that thing called work, I may have a difficult time putting together in-depth posts. Since music is the theme of this one, I figured it would be a good time to take it easy and see what is going on in the iPod.

SBI: A Thinning Crowd 
I thought getting out to see ONE concert was a big deal. I feel out classed 🙂
We have be to concerts the past two nights. We are worn out.
My recollections of a “White Rabbit” are a bit foggy/fuzzy. And i shore sung “The Ballad of Davy Crockett” as I cruised down “Highway 61” …
but “Blood on the Saddle” wuz a bit before my time.
The first time I heard “Blood on the Saddle” was at DisneyWorld. In the Country Bear Jamboree, one of the bears sings it. It was years before I realized that it was a non-Disney song.
Whoa! That’s one killer set of concerts. Hope you had a great time. Yup, now I’m ready to listen to some music indeed!
It was a great set of shows. Steve Winwood was better than Lorde who was better than Tom Petty. They guitarists played for 3 1/2 hours. Buddy Guy. Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Eric Johnson. They just kept coming out.
