This writer’s block cloud is still hanging around. There are some ideas floating around my mind, but I cannot get them organized to the point of putting them on the screen. On top of that, I do not have the urge to reach the depths that they require. Hopefully, they will work themselves out in short order.
Part of me is concerned that this blogging thing has run its course. It has been going on for several years, and it could be time to put this toy away. Perhaps, I just need a break. I have seen a bunch of bloggers come and go, and I have promised myself that I will not be one of those. I think there are still some stories that need to be told. They just need to make themselves known.
With nothing else ready to write, I am going to an old standard and am going to see what my iPod is doing tonight. Certainly, it is something interesting.

Specifically, “The Gambler” has always seemed like deep, philosophical truth. “Know when to walk away, know when to run” is better than anything I’ve read in any of my philosophy books. “There’ll be time enough for counting, when the dealing’s done.” Yup.
I’m a little stretched think blog-wise too. A bit stale, but loathe to give up something I have put so much effort into. I sure could use some inspiration. Or maybe I just need the holidays to be over. This is not my favorite time of year any more.
A lot of truth can be found in song. Sometimes, the simple verses are the ones that bring it out.
I don’t know what’s causing the writer’s block. It has happened before but never for this long.
I feel as if I’m repeating myself. I’m also tired and haven’t had a good brainstorm in a while. The holidays don’t help either. Maybe I need to slow down and do less. I’m pretty wired.
Hope you get through it soon, I hate to see good bloggers fade away!
Thanks. I’ll get through it. The mojo is rising.
I also hope you break through the block soon. Great music mix!
Thanks. I’m working on knocking down the wall.
I was amazed by Robertson’s “Somewhere Down The Crazy River” when I first heard it and I continue to be every time I hear it. Limited his voice is but the imagery he evokes on this one takes rare skill.
Writer’s block? Play some headbangin’ metal – you’ll break down that wall 🙂
Somewhere Down the Crazy River is one of my favorite songs. He is not a great singer, but I can see the story in my mind when I hear it.
