On our recent New Mexico trip, we drove to the Taos Pueblo, which is a Unesco World Heritage site. As we stood in the rain and looked at it, I wondered a couple of things.
First, why did this pueblo get picked over the Acoma Pueblo? In my opinion, there needs to be a recount.
Second, how many World Heritage sites have I visited?
I cannot answer the first question, but I can dang sure answer the second one. Here is the list by country.

That is a good list. Italy has the most (49), Spain has 44 and I have set myself a target of visiting all of them. So far I have managed 22!
We hope to make it to Spain next year. I should have gone to more Italian ones, but I was with my parents. I had to do what they wanted.
Where will you go in Spain. I have some recommendations! Parents are so selfish!
I’m not yet sure. What would be on your list?
That would be a very tough choice to make. I have sent you the list – https://apetcher.wordpress.com/2013/05/17/spain-unesco-world-heritage-sites/
Thanks. I will do everything I can to see as many as possible.
That would be as big as one of the 7 labours of Hercules!
You’ve gotten around, fella. A well-traveled man.
I’ve been lucky. My parents dragged me all over the place and made me like it.
I would not have wanted to go with my family. Our family vacations were sort of awful, but I’ve loved every journey since I’ve been on my own.
